African Studies Center in The Netherlands: http://www.ascleiden.nl/

Dear Friends,

The above is the link to the African Studies Center in Leiden, The Netherlands, the only Studies Center on Africa, also related to the University of Leiden, and the only one African Studies Center in The Netherlands:

"The African Studies Centre in Leiden is the only academic research institute in the Netherlands devoted entirely to the study of Africa. It welcomes African scholars through its visiting fellowship programme, has a monthly seminar programme and an extensive library that is open to the general public. Learn more about the ASC’s research programme."

"Africa" in this, is to be understood in a variety of studies / all sort of detailed information.

Dear Zuweria,

Well, already years ago i went for some period rather frequently to the African Studies Center, and this Studies Center also includes North Africa, if you know what i mean, so it is really very much and by then it contained lots of most varied information; i remember i was surprised. Of course i also was careful, knowing the facts of history as what you speak of and of course i have my "own mind".

For I can’t imagine how Netherlands could have specific study centre and university for the blacks. I think this stuff of slave trade and slavery has end some 5o years ago.

Well, the African Studies Center is a name for an institute related to the University of Leiden that has lots of detailed information about all studies done concerning specifically Africa, also by African people, so in fact it is an "academic institute" for everyone accessible.

Nowadays it so is no more about "eurocentric" thinking, this is how what you speak of is "academically" named, or so this is the "term" for that way of thinking, and luckily it had already been moving away from this "eurocentric" point of view when i was studying (early nineties), and either do i accept such narrowminded onesided oppressive point of view and i agree with you that inequality between peoples as in the past still has too many traces in our nowadays world and that humanity must change this inability to love into... LOVE, move away from their own creation of a tragic and sad fearful world based in all sorts of separation and partial views hence inability to see clear, and so move away from this so Light and Hope can be as the truth is all life is one life and we are all peoples of the Earth and belong to Humanity. All the rest is error, if you would ask me.

Wishing you and your family Love and Light,
:-)

Hi Anjez,

It’s nice having you in this platform. Your contribution is grate. Well this goes a long way to say that, the white consider blacks as inferior. For I think there is a problem wrong with the Europeans. For this is another critical battle that we all have to joint hands and fight.

And there is one thing the world has to know, in the book of Genesis, God said he created man from his own image that goes to say, we are all one. So if the entire world today considers God as thier creator, they will put an end to racism. Which is a crime against God and humanity?
