Sustainable Peace for Sustainable Development in Africa

Hi All Friends here,

This is just some typed 'blog'..., and as such no "author's ambitions" here, apart from the fact that i am not a socalled "native speaker" of the English language... at all, this 'blog' as such being no "writing" but only... typing..., and then..., as such..., just a 'note' from me here... on "On Africa's Face in the World"..., where it comes to the "news" the common media "feeds" us with, as for example in Europe: catastrophe, sadness, horror, little boys forced being child soldiers, hunger, war-war-war..., disruption, HIV/AIDS killing Black Africans, water pollution..., many other horrific illnesses, NO FUTURE..., genocide..., rampant rape... of women and little girls, threatened wildlife..., tears-tears-tears..., chopped of limbs... ears and lips..., socalled circumcision of little girls..., no payable health care..., no medicine..., lack of education, crisis in identity..., slavery..., exploitation of all sort..., THE LOUD AND DESPERATE CRY OF HUMANITY..., average age to be reached in too many places in Africa before DEATH comes: only 42..., and one may but ask: are there any tears left to cry for the tragedy of Black Africa?
Does "The World"... really want to hold on to its dim and dark-corridored ever-narrowmindedness in but brain-pride... and Lack of Love in the acceptance of the situation in Africa as but "normal" or even accept the situation in Africa as 'necessary' "so be it" in accordance with the split-faced 'Status Quo', this 'Status Quo': Worshipper of Inequality, showing but division of privileged ones in opposite of those who but lag behind, destined to die out? Does "The World" really lack the Power to solve the situation or is but... Lack of Will? I would say that the answer is given in the question.

p.s. Dear Christian,

I so humbly and gladly accept your invitation as Board of Directors for the African Peace and Democratic Institute.

My motivation comes but from my heart and no second thought nor any sort of socalled "double agenda" if any "agenda" at all, as i feel i am free, wishing others the same. I like to serve through the Board of Directors as best i can as to what is in my capacity, because i believe in the principal equality of human beings as being all members of Humanity, although each of us is to some extent different, yet through positive approach of the differences, i believe Humanity as a Whole is capable of creating a world based in Peace and therefore hopeful future outlook not for but a few, but for whole nations and peoples, yet each also an individual.

I am aware of the fact that we ("the world") are still to some extent also in the reminiscence of former colonialism, that we so now are, or have come, in some post-colonial area, wherein are new chances and former structures seem to dissolve.

I feel democracy (and implying as such peace) in Africa (and other places) is essential and in the interest of "the rest of the world", if not basically just only because i realize any form of "Apartheid" (i of course know this is originally a Dutch word) has sprung from a mind of "darkness" and "ignorance", causing all sorts of separation and as such inequality, honouring all sorts of "exclusivity" at best..., where now, as i feel, we, as humanity all together, are at the brink of overcoming such a "darkened" mindstate, which but serves the perception fitting the "old world" wherein war seems to be "the" method to show, sort of, "the inevitable" conquest in and through subordination, stuck hierarchical structures, oppression of any sort, where so i see that we are heading in respect to the "old world" instead for a "new world" which is (as far as i can see) more likely to be an 'inclusive' world, a world based in non-separation and principal equality for each to bring out their innate given talent, it is positive, based in sharing, openness and space for hope, which, as far as i see, will all serve each and all life forms far better, has the possibility of far more "interdisciplinary" sharing of various ways and forms of knowledge, all in far more fluent relations in openess and transparency, and will at least be more complete and open for ongoing development, continuous education where it comes to accessibility for many, instead of but few, in actual chances to be carried out, in an environment based in and through peace which will give people a whole different perspective wherein joy and playfulness are no more based in any form of subordination, deception or other oppression, but in a sense of inspiration wherein Freedom is not taking away the life quality of someone else. Instead of perceiving this as some unreachable commonly (mis)understood "idealistic" view, i see such a world as based in peace, without focussing on war, only as very possible.

Well, this according to me.

So far, unfinished and non-final,
:-)
All the Best Again,

I think daily of what Humanity wants from the world and what the world has for humanity. Money or Love? Most will think we need money. I think we need love. Once we can truely love, we will start to feel in our minds and spirits and so start to change the world. How much do we need to be happy? we need simple understanding that we are loving and being loved. Anjez thank you for being here

Thank you Christian, i find you say some of true importance:

"Anjez, if we need partners and sponsors, we must not stand as the weaker partner but as equals with something to bring to the table. I am quick to ask all those wishing to help Africa to invest in Africa and NOT donate to Africa. If you do not want payback in cash on your investment, you should ask that your payback should be in terms of real change in the life of a measurable number of persons or communities."

This gives me deep vision to ponder on as also this relates to your topic "Misleading words (Donating OR Investing?" at the forum.

You say: "Africa is a very rich continent with very poor leadership made so by the very so called rich nations. The logic is often to keep Africa where it is so as to justify the exploitation of its resources."...

I but feel this is true.

The question is how to escape this 'vicious circle'... and to peacefully create, as far as i can see, another inner (!) structure, even not for the benefit of "only" Africa, but for the benefit of Africa including entire Humanity.

I mean: i really feel mapping "a new future for Africa" implies mapping a new future for entire Humanity.

And so the question is how to implement all "ideas" in a most democratic, natural and 'humane' way into the "reality" of daily life. And how to be effective in and through peace, not war. How to change the minds of the people from despair into hope... (though i feel this is a problem entire humanity is suffering from).

I really feel non-intellectual qualities such as 'love' are essential.

But i am still trying to look deeper into the situation.

Africa is a very big continent (Asia would be the biggest continent; look: Africa is the second biggest..., Europe is the second smallest).

This gives me much reflection, Christian... I have to see what i can do with all this first.

Hope i can come up with some "essential" more worked out soon.

Hi Anjez,

Thank you for your open minded thinking and contribution to this topic. As said the impression African and African leaders give about the continent is to me too extreme to be the true picture. There is suffering in Africa, YES, but the question should be " WHY" and not simply acceptance and persistent blocking of Africa's development by donating left over from the west. There are excellent aspects and growth in Africa. Many whose minds are often directed towards seeing African as a dying continent are often shocked by what they see in Africa when there get here. One week ago, I had some visitors from Europe to our organisation. After taking them round our structure, there were very impressed and surprised by the work we do for our nation. when we settled down to talk further, we took time to tell them the more realistic problems we face in our work. This is what the group leader said ..." from your website you have shown all these good things we have seen here. That gives us the impression that all is well in Africa. But know that to gain our support we need to see real problematic pictures of a bad situation...". My response was of cause simple and straight.. “ we must stop painting Africa Black and poor . The same problems we face here in Africa are faced even by other communities in the so called rich nations.”

So My friend Anjez, if we need partners and sponsors, we must not stand as the weaker partner but as equals with something to bring to the table. I am quick to ask all those wishing to help Africa to invest in Africa and NOT donate to Africa. If you do not want payback in cash on your investment, you should ask that your payback should be in terms of real change in the life of a measurable number of persons or communities.

Africa is a very rich continent with very poor leadership made so by the very so called rich nations. The logic is often to keep Africa where it is so as to justify the exploitation of its resources.
I am happy that people like you are here and together we can map a new future for Africa.
God Bless you
