What do you think about starting a group for the awareness of the Child Soldiers/Invisible Children on this website? Kathleen Kanet is a founder and president of Network for Peace through Dialogue and is currently working with the Network directing their youth program, Confronting Concerns. Kathleen has a long experience of working with children as a teacher, school administrator and social worker. As supervisor of the Incarcerated Mothers Program, she served families when the mother is/was incarcerated. As school principal of a large elementary school her superintendent reported that "her skills in educational leadership and administration were not surpassed." For over a decade Kathleen worked with the Justice/Peace Education council developing and facilitating a process for infusing justice and peace concepts and skills into curriculum for grades one through college. She co-authored a book titled Dimensions of Justice and Peace in Religious Education and a comprehensive adult education curriculum on human rights. the LEAVEN PROGRAM, which included a process of gaining skills and working for social change. She was a founding member of the Intercommunity Center for Justice and Peace, NYC and worked with them as the Coordinator of Peace and Justice Education. She is committed to the work of making peace through dialogue.
